This is the first step in learning to dive in the enclosed environment which allows the student to dive in the daylight zone of the cavern only.
In this course the students are taught the proper way to run reels,air management and underwater communications. Students at this level are also taught proper equipment configuration, buoyancy control and how to dive safe in the cavern environment.
Accident analysis is strongly emphasized in this course. Students must be at least an advanced diver or have some advance trainning to enroll in this course.
Equipment needed at this level is: one primary reel, one safety reel, at least two lights and a single tank only.
