In most cases, persons who commit fraud by use of the internet are not prosecuted. Generally, even though a criminal act has been committed, local Law Enforcement will not act as Internet Fraud takes place across state lines and international boundaries. Unless there are sufficient damages, U.S. Attorneys will not accept cases for prosecution.Thus, Civil Process becomes the answer to minimize the damage that has been done to you.The Fraud Team is here to help you to identify the offender, assist you in preparing a civil suit, locating and recovering assets after you are awarded a judgement.
